Free gardening workshops

Farnham Town Council is holding four, free gardening workshops for children this Easter.

The Bloomin’ Kids Workshops have been sponsored by Andrew Lodge Estate Agents and will take place on Tuesday 5 and Thursday 7 April at the Town Council’s greenhouses in West Street. There will be two sessions on each day from 10am to 11.50am and 2pm to 3.50pm.

Councillor Stephen Hill, Lead Member for Farnham in Bloom says: “As finalists in Britain in Bloom, this is a big year for Farnham. We would like to see as many people as possible getting involved and showing the judges what a great community we have in Farnham.

“By offering these gardening workshops, we are hoping to encourage an interest in the next generation of gardeners. We also want to get more young people taking part in planting and enhancing the environment. During the workshops, the children will sow seeds and prick out seedlings.”

Places are limited so parents and carers are advised to book early so as to avoid disappointment.

Please note that workshops are unsuitable for children under five.
